A LOOK BACK TO 2012...
As I go through old photo files (mostly previously rejected) I come across one that I might be able to tweak enough to make it presentable. This is one of those photo sets. This setup just didn't impress me after looking at the photos for this model and many others. Now I learned early on not to delete photos until I've had a chance to really look at them. In the file they go for future consideration, I just didn't expect it to be this many years later.
Anyway, here's a set of one of DMs classic models that came out more than 25 years ago. Still quite frequently seen in the secondary market and often at a good price. It's a beauty and deserves any moment it can get to shine in the sun.

Pretty impressive for it to be more than a quarter century old! (27 years - issued 1997) One of DM's best.

Purchased this one when it was first issued...it's still proudly displayed in my collection. Thanks for the great pics John.

There were always certain cars from the mints that brought on more excitement than others, this '55 Oldsmobile was one of them. Since I was a little kid in the 1950's, Oldsmobile's and especially the '55 and it being red & white, they were favorites. So when DM issued this beauty, I bought two of them so that I could display it with both the top up and the top down. All these 27 years later, it's still a model that I'm drawn to whenever I'm scanning my cars on the shelves.

WOW! Gorgeous colors.
I’m not the only one that likes multiple colors of the same model. Big difference however, is that I have to buy mine. You just make yours. Cool!
