DeSoto sure got it right for trim application and color combos in this era.

WHOA Hollis!  I want that White and Gold Adventure!  I'm assuming YOU did the repaint job on it, and it looks awesome!  What would it take to add it to my parking lot?

@georgeschire

It's not a repaint George. It's an Indy 500 Pace car. I removed the convertible windshield and the graphics Then put on a roof and windshield (car in picture) from the black/gold Adventurer. Then added the wire wheels from a plum/lavender. Sportsman. No painting was involved. Just taking car apart and putting it back together.

Saw the picture below of the car. Fell in love with it. So, decided to make my own. Bought some used cars and junk parts and there you have it. Finished it Saturday.

Now have 5 different DeSoto's Danbury did not make.

This is a beautiful model. I'd would love to see this one in person. You've done a fantastic job on this, congratulations for adding this 1 of 1 model to your collection.

A masterpiece of modellers art Hollis!

Hollis, dont suppose you would have any work in progress pics I could send to my modeller friend Mat? The more I view it the more I appreciate the work of art it really is.

For any of you not familiar with Hollis original model this is it.

Hollis:  That is some fantastic work, doing the remodel.  I might consider attempting to purchase a few duds and doing what you did.  This one is nice.
