@jack-dodds LOL! Great flick. But this little guy is 1:1.
(Glad your back safe - hope you had a FABULOUS family Christmas!!)
@perrone1 ...you got an XT5 two years ago, didn't you? One can never have enough cars (I understand that ) but it's the same vehicle, only different colors. Lease? 🤔 🤔 🤔
I got diddly squat.
@chris This year I actually got Diddly Squat for Christmas! A Diddly Squat Farm tee shirt, that is. Do any of you watch Clarkson's Farm (yes, THAT Jeremy Clarkson). I've seen all 3 seasons, and it has the same humor and wit that the original Top Gear had. Plus, I've learned more about what farmers go through to put food on the table than I have from any other show.
I missed the logo underneath - Speed and Power. What do you expect from a guy whose first farm purchase was a Lamborghini tractor?
No Chris, I bought it. It is a different color but despite both of them being Premium Luxury level, this 2025 has lots more bells & whistles. My main reason for trading the Silver Coast car in for the Argent Silver is that it is the last XT5 of the first generation. From 2025 on, the second generation cars, all 4 cylinder, are going to China.@perrone1 ...you got an XT5 two years ago, didn't you? Right, that was the talk a few years ago. Cadillac has since re-thought that strategy and will continue to offer an XT5 in North America for 2025. Despite aforementioned plans, it's still unclear that Cadillac will produce the all-new 2026 XT5 as a China exclusive. Initial plans noted Shanghai production only.... but with demand for EVs softening, and 2026 production forecasts lowered (for a variety of reasons ) Cadillac's prior commitment of being all electric by 2030 seems unlikely. North America just might see the 2026 XT5 - with 3.6 engines. Stay tuned, right? 🙄 🙄 🙄

You're right Chris, stay tuned. The 2024 US XT5 was supposed to be the last 1st Gen car to be made but they relented and made TWO 2025's!! The last of the 1st Gen US versions, like the 2025 I just bought and the China version (only made in 4 cylinder).
Check it out. I do not like it. I am enthralled (Still) with the looks of the 1st Gen:
@perrone1 While I like the revised interior (pillar to pillar screens or close to it is fine by me ) and updated front end, Cadillac watered-down the profile styling and surfacing. It's kind of a trend on many makes. Also, I'm not a fan of lower rear SUV rooflines (again, common now on many makes ) and I will miss that door to beltline rank upwards toward the rear, an SXR & 1st-gen XT5 feature. Congrats of your purchase; it will be interesting to see exactly what Cadillac does in the next 12 months.
@perrone1 Lol....you tricked me. I thought the color wasn't exactly the same as the car you posted months ago so I assumed it was a quality model! Interesting commentary.
Agreed!! And, yes, that side, raked beltline, started on the SRX, is distinctive and still cool all these years later.@perrone1 While I like the revised interior (pillar to pillar screens or close to it is fine by me ) and updated front end, Cadillac watered-down the profile styling and surfacing.
