In other news, just today I saw what looked like a VW Phaeton in a two-tone pink-over-purple combo. It was on a cross street, I only caught a glimpse. Must have taken the long way back from the Coronation.

Harv' there's an hysterical Jaques Tati movie called Mon Oncle which takes an ironic look at France's haute monde during the '50s. The acerbic look at clothing, interiors and manners make it essential viewing for anyone with an eye for society's foibles - all the common people speak French, but high society; English.
