Bought and built this K&R kit of a circa 1962 Austin A110 Westminster saloon.  A 3.0 liter six cylinder car and the largest non limo Austin of the time.

What a nicely built kit John. A friend of my father had this car full size in two tone grey. Engine was the same as the Austin Healey but with a single carburetor, I believe.

Except for trim that is getting sprung from the body, this Silas model of the MG Magnette is pretty nice. I recently bought some p/e snips and may tackle cutting at the door shut lines to repair this.

There are a few Silas items in my inventory, but my Magnette is a K&R kit I built.   I think your plan for the chrome moldings is good.  I have used clear nail polish with a small brush but now Elmers is making a clear glue that could be tried.  Brooklin, I believe uses some sort of Elmers equiivant as it is water soluble if one is disassembling a Brooklin/Lansdowne.
