Any one remember that one? The first one came out when my father was about 4 (around 1915), and I understand this was the first pedal car ever made. When I was about the same age, my grand father also bought me one!

Mine was a larger style with black wheels. I got it from a friend who used it to deliver newspapers until his route got too large. That was in the 1950s.

I assume that the one shown is a scale model.

Yes, it's a small model. Too bad I could not find one in 1/43 scale, which would make it the size of a 1/87 scale car: that would enable me to put a child next to it, and display it in the same picture as one of my 1/43 scale models: it would look like a pedal car next to a real car!

My parents bought me one in 1958 and it was almost indestructible .  I eventually brush painted it light green (groan).

If I remember correctly, my grand father bought mine a couple of years earlier. I wonder whether they are still made!
