As an oft-abused user I can confirm that is true!  Lol.

"Failing to prove" to a machine that you are human, is another proof that you are human, the computer is just not intelligent enough to figure that part yet. 

It only does what was instructed to do. Technically, another human told the machine to check if you are human, sometimes using wrong assumptions or flawed algorithms, while protecting you from evil humans programing another machine to pretend it is you. Imagine the challenges when the robot gets more sophisticated ...
