Without sounding like I'm blowing my own horn, I just have to say that sometimes there are little things in life that are in their own way, BIG.
The cover of the newspaper below is that for me. I've written hundreds of articles and stories for papers and magazines over the decades, and I've contributed to dozens of books and written four of my own, and in the scheme of it all, I guess to some that's cool. But to me, it's just what I do and I don't think about it being more than that.
But for some reason, seeing that the Valley Life paper decided to put my speaking engagement at the Washington County Heritage Center (that took place last week) on their cover and the great story they included with it, well I got a kick out of it.
As I said, "it's the little things" that are sometimes BIG.

Congratulations George. It is wonderful to make the front page for a good thing, not the usual headlines. This marks your status as a Wrestling expert.

Be sure to keep your resin models away from that furnace tune-up said Steve very facetiously......
Nice recognition George.
Congratulations George, you're front-page news!ย The best I ever did was getting my picture in the company newsletter on saving paper, and that was on page 4.
George, very good. The closest thing for me was a short interview on local PBS TV show โWild Chicagoโ about 20 years ago.
