They all look great, GM at the top of its game!

Tough choice between Buick and Cadillac, but the Buick's grille, ventiports, and "Sweepspear" beat out the Cadillac's fins for me.

Cadillac. Perhaps its pinnacle, at least compared to any of its potential competition. Love the Olds and Chevy too.

Cadillac followed closely by the Buick primarily because the hardtop roof looks nicer than the convertible tops.

Don't really care for any of GMC's offerings these years but the Chevy is the least cluttered or maybe the cleanest so I voted Chevy.

I decided I'd "really rather have a Buick".  Of the five in the GM ladder line-up, it is the best looking for '49.

Cadillac is best for styling; then Pontiac, Olds, Chevrolet and Buick in that order.

I find the Oldsmobile Futuramic particularly appealing for some reason. I would follow this with the Pontiac and Chevrolet but have little interest in the Buick or Cadillac in 1949.
