Most assuredly a tie for me. Nice comparison choices John. Thanks.
Oldsmobile by the tiniest of margins.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
These two are my least liked of the 1957 General Motors lineup.
Before seeing the pictures I was sure I was going to vote for the Buick. But the color of that Oldsmobile is so perfect for it, I voted this one a tie!

I prefer the grille, trim/color separation and tail lights of the Buick, but love them both.
Olds please, for the side trim [not a check mark diving for the ground before the rear wheel] and the front bumper [no overly large bumperettes or what ever they are called, on each end of the bumper] and the Olds grill just looks less cluttered.
I like them both, but the OLDSMOBILE gets my vote. Three reasons, first, everyone knows I favor Oldsmobile's and the '57 is my favorite year of the fifties. Second reason, it was the first year that Oldsmobile added a station wagon to their model line-up and it's a hardtop to boot. And finally the third reason is, I like the Oldsmobile's plane side paneling. The Buick with the chrome strip and two-tone paint, is too busy for my eyes.

I went with the Olds, as I do not like the dip in the chrome before the rear tire opening on the Buick.
Love the Buick...for me it's all about the dip. I'm a fan of the Oldsmobile too.
