I much prefer the styling and interior of the Oldsmobile. The Dodge is second but the tail end seems a bit overdone. It was offered in an impressive array of color choices this year. Mercury is a very distant third and IMHO is the least attractive Mercury ever made.
I've always loved the sculpturing of the Dodge Royal Lancers. It may be a little too much, like some kind of virtuoso flourish, but still I love it and especially in these colours.
Dodge, the only car I loved in '59. Don't even like the other two. Actually the only other car I liked in '59 is the Thunderbird. The Pontiac is good also but I would not have bought one in '59.

I do have a soft spot in my heart for '59 Impala as my Dad brought one home one night.
It was white with that multi-colored blue interior and at 6yrs old I absolutely loved that Impala !!!
Next new car was a '63 Country Squire...our Family was growing..in Vintage Burgundy and I loved that car too !
By then, Dad had his Ford Econoline work van and there were 4 more mouths to feed !
BTW, my Dad was a self-employed electrical contractor. My best memories are of me going with him sitting on the engine cover in that Ford Econoline during the Winter and my Dad allowing me to put the switch plate covers on the plug and light switch receptacles and I always made sure that the screws lined up correctly. They were either straight up or exactly horizontal.
