Really hard choice and I almost went for a tie also. I give a slight nod to the Chrysler 300 with the other two tied.

Buick and Chrysler are extremely close and then Mercury. Buick by the smallest of margins.

They all look great, and to make it even harder to choose, John, you picked cars that were direct market competitors in 1966.

I'll put the Mercury last even though I do like it. Between Buick and Chrysler, style-wise I would rate them dead even. So I go with the 300 because I think its engine, transmission, and suspension are superior to the Wildcat.

One of your best ever today, John!

1) CHRYSLER  2) Mercury  3) Buick  Not really my favorite year for any of them.  Too long and boxy square for me.  Absolutely great comparisons though, as they are indeed direct competitors from the Big Three.  Great pics!

I agree with Bob on this one.

The Big Three all had breakthrough designs in 1965 and 1966, but I think General Motors did it best. My favorite Buick of the decade, so Buick first with  Chrysler and Mercury close behind.

Chrysler followed closely by Buick. Both look terrific.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

For me Buick is the leader followed closely by Chrysler while Mercury trails the pack.
