'57, my favorite year for Oldsmobile!

All terrific, but this evening it's 1955 for me. I particularly like the grille and the side treatment.

OMG! My three favorite years for Oldsmobile. Each one is a styling beauty beyond words. This is the hardest "Which One?", yet! But my favorite of the three is the '57 and the other two are tied for second. I'd take any of the three in a heartbeat. I'd always hoped that the mints would have given them to us in 1:24 scale. We only go the '55.

Not my favourites, but of the three, the 1955 is most appealing.

WOW! Just for my own curiosity, what three American full-size car for 1955, 56, 57 would you pick as being better looking than Oldsmobile for the same three years?

I like the 56 best, maybe because it is the most familiar Olds of the time frame to me.

I know you didn't ask me, George, but Buick, Chrysler, and DeSoto would be my answer.

That's not the way I asked the question. It has to be the same car for all three years. Unless you mean all three of those brands for the three years.

Tie for the '55 & '56 I have no feelings for weather good or bad, but I love the '57.
Better for those 3 years the DeSoto.
Better for Olds, '62, '63, '64.
Buy I do consider the '57 second only to the '62 so; 62, 57, 63, 64, 56, 55 my order. I love the first three and like the second three, but no preference in all the other Oldsmobiles for likes or dislikes other than the '58 which gets a dislike.
'62 love the whole car; '57 loved the open unobstructed grill & the rear view the tail lights are perfect and the 3 window coupe great, even the side treatment is the best of the three offered; '63 beautiful car; '64 still looking good; '55 & '56 tie, alright but would much prefer the Mercury in '49 to '56.
They are all beautiful Rocket Oldsmobiles ! Certainly among the great cars of the 1950's.
Hi George,
My problem is that I just don't care for anything larger than the Chevrolet for GM in these years. I was a real fan of several British and German cars during this period, Jaguar and Mercedes Benz especially.
American cars that appealed to me more from 1955 to 1957 were Studebaker, DeSoto and Ford.
I know, not typical.
I love the Oldsmobiles of the middle 50s, but for these three years I'd prefer DeSoto.
