@john-barry, we did. But the practice for learning how to do all these things was painful!

I just don't understand why someone would risk ending up paralyzed or worse.........but of course I'm just a boring old senior now.... Lol. I got a major wake up call 4 years ago when my youngest son came off his skateboard and fractured his skull, so I do get that these things happen regularly. He wore no helmet of course; in spite of my repeated cautions.....ah, the invincibility of youth. The neurosurgeon read him the riot act about how close he had come to being paralyzed. I think he got the message because he never skateboarded again and he is noticeably more reserved in his sport activities.
