                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This post in my Brooklin in Illinois series features their 1934 Buick M60 convertible coupe in Freedom Blue (BC 029), which is part of the Brooklin Models Buick Collection.  For this post I again use a scene along the original US Route 66.  This "house and canopy" style Standard Oil gas station, located in Odell Illinois, was originally built in 1932 and later restored to its 1940s appearance.</p>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I don't think there were too many automobiles around on Earth 80 million years ago, but petroleum and gasoline were starting "production" and also it would lead to synthetic rubber in later years. In 1933, at the Chicago World's Fair, Sinclair Petroleum a big moving life-size display outside showing some of the guys and gals around on Earth at that time ....... and Goodyear Tires had a sightseeing rubberized blimp that flew around.</p>
<p>Many years ago, I grabbed these frames from a movie my Grandfather took at the Fair. His car undoubtedly used Sinclair gas and had Goodyears tires !</p>
