Well if Andy is nuts ... then I'm nuts as well .... Looks taller to me.

Make that a foursome. When I first saw the bubble top I thought it was more Jetsons than LM and that's a pretty big mistake to make on a $300 car with no fun features, like doors, hood, engine, you know, those car-sy features you get for 1/3 the money in a decent diecast.

I've thought the same thing when I saw the photos with the Jetson looking bubble. I've had to cut way back on my purchases as I have simply run out of room, so only after careful consideration did I purchase the Future. Having "lived" with it for awhile, eyeballing it, I do think that the specific photo shown with the real thing, exaggerates the bubble height. Its a much better looking car than that photo shows. Due to the angle, the bubble appears short in length, throwing off the proportions. Photo below I took of mine and from the side it looks less "Jetsonish."

Both of the "HOOPS" were the same height they are probably correct height in rear meaning the front

Hoops need lowering. The actual car had a slight convex to the front windshield and aiding a smooth curve over the top Read the top section that pushed up was flatter as compared to the Bottom horizontal. The top section has a convex curve to it also causing a smooth line from base of the windshield over the top down to the rear edge of the Back curved glass. You can see it in the red car pictures which are the exact same car just painted red.

(PICS) Let's take another look.. A bit high? Maybe but very close, ceratinly no cause for alarm.

Umm, it's nearly always better to see things for real before reaching definitive negative conclusions.

Oh, I don't think anyone here is negative; all of us love our models. I agree that actual....

...measuring is truly the ONLY way to rule out any suspect dimensions. Admittedly, I'm not sure what to think. As I demonstrated, I can produce pics that both support and belie Minichamps accuracy.

Mike, no one here is bashing this model. Yeah sure it's pricey for resin but if you want this Lincoln in 1/18 scale...... it's the only game in town.

I was think JETSONS as well ....

I see the glass dome higher than the hoop in the prototype. The front hoop is higher in the model.

OK, not perfect rendition of the Futura concept car Barris destroyed in the 60s.
I previously only collected 1:24 until I bought the 1:18 Futura. You are not going to get the Futura made better than Minichamps.
As a kid in the 1950s sat in the Futura. A few issues with the bubble top height in my opinion does not distract from the overall beauty and quality of this 1:18 image.

....all of us agree with that Alfred. You sat in the real thing? Really? Very cool!
