Does anyone here have interest in my still doing my "Model of the Day" posts?
i was doing it until Hurricane Sandy hit, then took off a while as things took time to get back to somewhat normal state. Anyway I also felt like there wasn't much interest in it as I get few if any responses or comments. If it IS looked at and appreciated then I'll continue to do it. I know quite often 10-20 people might read and enjoy a post but NOT comment on it. If that's the case then I understand. As long as its welcomed and adds something to this forum I'll do it. If nobody cares then why bother? lol

Absolutely keep posting them, I've been missing them.
And I don't remember if it was you or someone else - but I also miss the daily contest where we had to id the car by just a small shot of a part of the car - usually the front fender, if I remember correctly (hey, what can I say - I'm getting old, my memory isn't always there when I need it)

Frank GOD answered my prayers when I closed up my house and left
The night before the Hurricane hit us, but unfortunately others in the surrounding areas were NOT so fortunate! I am about 300+ FEET from Jamaica Bay and JFKs Runways are directly across the Bay. The water DID come down my street and up my community driveway (I live in a 1920s Tudor Townhouse). The block is sloped and im just before the crest of the block. The low lying end had at one point about 4 to 4 1/2 feet of water in it! There was a Ford Explorer parked on that corner and the water line was up to almost about 4 inches below the window! The water and debris field came up to my garage door and stopped right there! Not a drop came in my garage. My house and garage are exactly in the center of the block. Out front, neighbors whom stayed told me that the water came almost up to the top of the second step. there are seven steps from the sidewalk to my front door. I just got a little puddle of water in the basement on the front room and it was at most 1 to 1 1/2 gallons of water! I think it seeped in from my neighbors basement as she got about 4-6 inches of water in it. This is an attached home.
From this storm I've learned two things, one that Elevation IS everything, not how close you are to the water and B) GOD does answer prayers, not that I ever doubted that! Thanks for asking and GOD BLESS!
