Beautiful work on both models Geoff. I'm headed to the handicraft forum to learn more.
Very nice work Geoff. I find these models quite appealing.
Great looking builds Geoff! I especially like the Citroen depot hack.
thanks Tony, John, Bob, Pete and David. Appreciate your supportive comments.
Ecellent job,Geoff. Wish I was patient enough to build these models. Especially the windows of the Citroen would make me nervous...

thanks. I used to build these as a child, up to around the age of 14 if I remember correctly. Like a lot of us upon retirement, around 3 years ago, I found I had a bit of time on my hands, especially in the afternoons. I'd seen so many great kit builds here on our site so I checked out ebay and found there are literally 1000s 1:24/1:25 kits available, bought a couple, stuffed them up no end but then slowly got better at it. Its remarkable to restart doing something again after nearly 60 years. And surprisingly, at age 73, 74 my dexterity has improved. My standards are still miles away from some of the artisans we see post here but most of my recently completed models have been fine to include with my diecasts in my display cases.
Just some food for thought if you have some spare time. Again I appreciate your supportive comments.

good stuff Greg. As Tony says patience is important. I really struggled, and still do, not to rush to get models finished.
Also theres a lot of excellent local sellers on the Australian ebay, and also plenty of good local hobby shops. You can also quite often pickup quality kits at really cheap prices on the U.S ebay which helps compensate for exchange rate and postage costs. As I mentioned above there are literally 1000s of them around.
Also of course, as you are no doubt aware, theres heaps of great advice and support here on the forums.
Enjoy!
