This is actually a nicely done model. I plan on getting another to convert to stock. If I can find a good DM/FM '55 parts car. 😊

A part of the Posies trio models. Very well done and at a reasonable price. I've often thought it would be cool as a stock model. Look forward to seeing your conversion if you pick up another

I recall a few 55/56 Ford Customline wagons here in Melbourne. Heres a nice 56 internet pic from a local car show.

Cant wait to see the finished product Geno

Thanks guys. I'm scouting Ebay for candidates. The DM '55 can be had cheap in near perfect condition. I just don't want to destroy a beautiful example. A damaged or parts car is what I'll look for. The wagons are generally pretty cheap. 👍

Alright, I just picked up a DM '55 Ford with issues off of Ebay for $20. Next up is the search for another wagon. Then the conversion begins. A little Dr. Jekyll,  Mr. Hyde work, lol. Stay tuned. I'm hoping to be able to modify the whole DM chassis to fit the wagon. I  think Ill try to replicate the car in the last pic. I like the color combo.👍

Could somebody tell me if the original wagon is a one-off or production style ?  I have never seen the double chrome side trim on a Ford wagon and it puts me in mind of the Zil III.  I would like to know which came first. Thanks.

Charles, the chrome trim on the wagon is custom. Not factory original. 😊

I knew I'd spotted 55/56 Ford Customline wagons on Australian roads during the 50s/60s. Found a local Customline enthusiasts facebook page. Heres a wagon in a pic from their page. This is going to be a great project Geno. Customlines are one of my first true favorite cars.

@geoff-jowett those are some nice looking cars Geoff. I really love the 55/56 Fords. They always get overshadowed by the Chevys.  Undeservedly so.
