Received a letter from DM today....
...formally announcing the end of the Classic Car Preview Society.
"Regrettably, I must announce the end of this popular program. We are no longer able to cost effectively produce enough new models to continue the Preview Society. We will, however, continue to periodically release die-cast models that bear the hallmark of quality for which the Danbury Mint in known"
The letter is signed by Art McKenna, Die Cast Product Manager.
Anyone else receive this recently?
I guess there's hope they will produce an occasional model?

Received email from FM today advertising their wares but no die cast. The email contained an opportunity to unsubscribe to FM and since they have nothing for me I unsubscribed. Very sad as I have been there since 1998.

John - I just checked their website ...
and there are no diecast listed at all - not even from other manufacturers - I guess they are out of it altogether.

I received the same letter today from DM as well.
The good news is they say they will still produce the occasional model. I guess time will tell.

They sold the name so all will be gone on their website shortly...
...which is why I bought the last item...the 2013 truck. Its gone too.

Sounds like the cost of collecting will be going up.
Anyone know where they might be producing these? Or the state of affairs with their factory in China?
