66 Riviera, 68 Javelin, 71 Pantera, all stock...and in 1/18 too, please!
I'm definitely in on the Pantera that was always one of my favorite cars especially the first year with those beautiful chrome bumpers.
I'll think I'll take mine in yellow like the one that was featured in the ads in magazines when the Pantera was first announced.
And it's got to have the doors with the push buttons. And the stock chrome outside mirror.
I still love the 71 and 72 Pantera and if ever I was to win the lottery that's what I would search out high and low but it has to be totally stock like I said in a specially with the Campagnolo (?) wheels.
@100ford2003 What about a Mangusta DeTomaso? This is the ultimate classic.
Oh YEAH.... I had a 1/43 of the Mangusta when I was in high school '67 - '71. I've no idea of what happened to it. It was Blue and I think it was manufactured by Solido.
I don't exactly remember if the doors opened but I know that the engine covers did and I just thought that was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen for them to open up in a butterfly/gullwing fashion.
I don't exactly remember what years the Mangusta was produced but I do remember that there were two different front ends.One had dual headlights and the other one had quads. I prefer the style with the quad headlights. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Sometimes at my age my memory plays tricks on me....😂
I have a question for you. There are many great suggestions in your original post and the subsequent replies. Since you talk with those from Brooklin/SMTS, do you think they will make any of them?
@ed-davis, it's hard saying. Due to the nature of the business, most manufacturers are fairly tight-lipped about their future production plans. Sergio frequently gives early notice of what he's working on as he did earlier in this thread. However, I know that several makers follow this forum and read the comments on the My Take channel. We can cross our fingers and see what happens!
John, I totally agree with you on the 73 Cutlass Supreme and Hurst. I would dearly love to see a 1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille and a 1961 Dodge Polara in all body styles including a four door hardtop. Thanks for asking.
Bob;
The oddball looking early 60s Dodges and Plymouths didn't make my want list but I definitely would buy all of them. I hope Sergio is one day able to sort out the apparent licencing issues with Chryco, which would enable him to do some of these.
A modern 1/43 Mangusta would be so cool! I remember the Corgi version with removeable drivetrain(!), and it has been re-issued recently (now made in China)...
