Beautiful Ferrari's - is #18 by MadYero? I have seen some of their built-ups online and hey look very nice. From Japan or France?
Thanks Karl, a typo now corrected. Not sure about origin. Madyero also go under the names Gemini and Remember and I understand built some resin parts, at least, in Sebring, Florida. Sorry, don't know more.
Yes, I still have the John Day built, but very crude by modern standards. Most that I still have are unbuilt and likely to remain so.

Hi Harv.
I have started a post for next week about the 1962 Le Mans race actions and results.
Please let me know if this creates any problems with any efforts you have underway.

@david-green No problem David - will this be a continuation of this series? I just checked and I have 8 (6 are Ferraris).
Yes, similar to the 50s format and continuing here. There were a lot of Ferraris in this race and you have a significant number which I look forward to seeing.
1962 24 Hours of Le Mans
Kyosho Cunningham Jaguar Type E Coupe Le Mans.
Well David, here are the ones I have. There are 3 LookSmarts, the 1st place 330 TRI/LM; the NART 250 TRI/61 (DNF), and the 250 GT SWB Drogo "Breadvan" (DNF), entered by SSS Republica di Venezia.
I too have the Kyosho 3rd place GTO No. 22, but also the 2nd place No. 19 car. LookSmart and Kyosho models are great!
Below is the Bang version of the 250GT Sperimentale.
I have Spark's version of the Cunningham jaguar E-Type.
I also have an Ixo Abarth-Simca, but no pic yet (later).
Harv, those Looksmart Ferrari models are amazing. Like Karl, I particularly like that breadvan.
1962 24 Hours of Le Mans Continued.
Only 18 cars completed the 1972 Le Mans 24 Hours out of a total of 55.
Here are the final seven finishers and the representative models.
No model found for this car.
Here is the Ferrari 'Breadvan' No.16, a DNF (Did Not Finish) car. Great model despite the accident.
@david-green With all the recent interest in vintage Le Mans miniatures, I thought I would resurrect David's series on the post-WW2 races, which previously ended with 1962. Picking up where we left off, 1963 was to be a huge one for Ferrari, with 11 cars entered, including the new 250 P rear-engined car and the 330 LMB. The only possible competitors in the top 3-liter (and up) classes were Lola, Aston Martin, Lister, Maserati, and a couple of 4.7-liter AC Cobra coupes. Ferrari would end up taking the top six spots at race's end. It was a race of attrition, with only 12 cars classified as finishing the race, plus two non-classified finishers. Porsche 718s had the 2-liter class all to themselves.
Now to the models I have. LookSmart made an excellent replica of the 250 P #21 winner, a works car driven by Scarfiotti and Bandini. This marked the first all-Italian win (team, car manufacturer, and drivers) and the first win for a car with the engine behind the driver. No front-engine car would ever win again.
Second (and 1st in 3.0-liter GT) went to the Equipe Nationale Belge GTO of Jean Blaton ("Beurlys") and Langlois van Ophem. My model is the superb zamac issue by Kyosho, with engine detail and an opening trunk.
Third was another works 250 P, driven by Parkes and Maglioli, also by LookSmart.
I don't have a model of the 4th place 250 GTO, but I do have the 5th place #12 330 LMB entered by Maranello Concessionaires and driven by Salmon/Sears. Model by BBR.
The 6th-place NART 250 GTO is another car I don't have (but wish I did). The Rover-BRM turbine car could have been 7th, but was a non-classified car due to its prototype powerplant. Bizarre made a nice model of this one.
Team Cunningham came home in 9th place with this E-Type hardtop, a diecast from Kyosho.
Now to the DNFs. The 250 P of Surtees/Mairesse had its race end with a fuel spill and fire at lap 252. Once again, model by LookSmart.
The Hobbs/Attwood Lola Mk. 6 GT was out by accident on lap 151. Model by Spark.
The Gurney/Hall NART 330 LMB lost its gearbox at lap 126. I just got this TecnoModel last week, a new model for 2025.
Last in my collection is another Cunningham E-Type, out after only 8 laps. My Spark model is autographed by Augie Pabst (but not his co-driver, Walt Hansgen).
So David (and others), what can you add?
