It is from the time that there was a special department of the Dutch Police, called the Rijkspolitie.
Yes, the same where officers drove a Porsche....famous (or infamous if you like) among us Dutch people...
Many young police-offers opted for this special section, who kept an eye on our roads.
But the truth was that you could only become a member if you were married and had children.
That way, all to right-foot-happy police-officers were excluded ....

John, I just received the Autocult 1970 Ford Torino King Cobra.

Harv, I liked the yellow car better than the orange, and the yellow car has the louvers, which the orange car does not.....BUT, the orange car was the only one fitted with the Hemi Boss 429 motor...the other two got the 429 Cobra Jet and 429 Super Cobra Jet motors, but since we can't pop the hoods on our models, it shouldn't matter much, although it will always be on my mind when looking at it.

Ed, the King Cobra was a concept car developed to beat the Mopar Wing cars in Nascar.Â
The project was scrapped for numerous reasons...the link below tells the whole story on the project.
Only 3 were built.
