I attended the Countryside Collectors Classic Toy Show yesterday, October 20, 2024.  I arrived about 11:30. All the tables were sold, and as usual there was lots of stuff in scales ranging from 1/87 to 1/18, including some new 1/43 scale offerings. This included diecast, old plastic model kits, promo model cars, etc.  I was not expecting to see many of the usual 1/43 scale folks and was pleased to see the ones that were present. There may have been more, who may have left before I arrived. Here are some photos, and I apologize for any incorrect spelling of people's names.

First, are some show overview photos, I took when arriving.  The first shows the area usually occupied by the Forum 43 booth.

Charlie Barnett was here with several models.

Next is Greg Gunn. I bought a Brooklin model from him, which I will show in a future Brooklin in Illinois post.

Greg and Buz follow. If you look closely, Buz' latest Madison 1959 Pontiac 2 door hardtop models are shown, One is Silvermist Grey and the other Cameo Ivory.

The following trio includes Dale Dannefer, Tom Dirnberger, and Howie (I think).  I am not always good at remembering which name goes with which face.

Tom showed his next release coming later this year, a 1954 Lincoln with multiple color options by GLM.

Also, on display were some resin body castings for a 1964 Lark Daytona.  Tom is looking for feedback on whether collectors will buy it, before deciding to make them.  The castings looked very good to me.

Jim Cowen had a nice collection of his Automodello and Automodello ONE43 models.  My favorite is a new release under the Automodello ONE43 brand.  It is an impressive model of the 1973-1978 GMC Motorhome in three different color/graphics schemes. There is a lot of interior detail, which is visible through the large windows. The green one was available for purchase at the show.  In the following pictures the car models next to the Motorhome models are 1/24 scale to give you a size perspective.

Finally, I have close-ups of each Motorhome.

I hope you like the pictures.  See you at next show in March 2025.

Thanks for the photos Ed. I especially like that 1954 Lincoln Capri that GLM has planned. One can never have enough Lincolns. I only have one earlier 1950s Lincoln Capri. I believe it is a 1953 by Stylish Models (BBR).

@kenspear

I also like the Lincoln Capri, and I pre-ordered one at the show.

Here's a few more early 1950s Lincolns, Mercurys and Fords.

That GMC motor home is real nice and about the price of a 1/43 scale resin car. I am waiting for a My Take review, and John K does a good job photographing interior details.

Some excellent shots of the show and replicas ! That green GMC motor home looks just like the 1:1 version my Mom and Dad had for many years. They later repainted it in a desert tan color.

Wow-wee!  My 1954 Lincoln 2-dr HT in 1/43 scale (I owned that green tu-tone seen on the upper left )  I had a tu-tone blue 4-dr too... but I know I'll never see that.  THANKS ED, FOR THESE PICS!   Seeing these GLM Lincolns made my day.  😀 😀

Well, the '54 Lincoln is a must have for me. Awesome! I would definitely be down for the '64 Studebaker Lark. A wonderful idea. I am intrigued by the GMC campers, although that kind of model is not normally what I collect.

If you are interested in the Lark Daytona, I suggest you contact Tom.  He is trying to determine the interest level in that model.
