station wagon. Not factory,and I don't like it. Also, a single color, I think is more appropriate for this station wagon. I can live with the skirts. I just like skirts on most cars, factory equipment, that is.
The other color, which I think is Willow Mist, is just dull on any car. I think a light color may be right for the wagon.

The pictured "Starfire" wagon is not even correct to the customized one of a kind vehicle.

The model lacks ventishades. It lacks the Starfire louvers on the front doors - the ones shown are standard 88 items. It should not have the horizontal chrome molding in the middle of the silver painted or anodized area. It is just a convenient conglomeration of decorations.

BUT, my name is not on the box. I would not even consider doing a customized car that, in my opinion, is unappealing. Goldvarg is the name on the box, Goldvarg determines what goes in the box.

Fender Skirts or not Fender Skirts?

Hi Guys
Curiosity, has got the best of me, every time I see one of these beautiful models with fender skirts I kind of wonder what is going on. Growing up in western Washington a longtime ago and having pumped a lot of gas in the Daniels Grocery/Chevron Station, I never saw a late model/new car with skirts. The only fender skirts were on the young guys 49/50+ Fords, Chevs andmaybe a rich kid's Mercury. What am I missing here? Just look a little out of place.

Agree whit Curtis Parisi, if the one-off is good from Conquest, the same is good from Goldvarg !

They both look perfect. I’ll take them just as they are, especially the Starfiire Fiesta.

Personally, I like the fantasy version better.

The more accurate wagon doesn't appeal to me much - not in terms of the model's quality, but just as a car subject. I don't have much of a problem when it comes to inaccuracies as long as the model looks good to me and doesn't draw my eye with messed up proportions or such. If I were to buy either, then it would absolutely be the skirts-clad "wrong" one.

Yes, it's a fantasy but there is one full-size version out there. I see no difference between this one-off creation and some of the concept cars that are quite popular in 1/43. None of them made it to production and most of them were one-offs as well.

I pumped a lot of gas in the 60s and rarely saw skirts on 60s cars but often on the 40s and 50s cars. Personally I don't care much for them in general and definitely not on 60s cars...but each to his own.
