Pontiac

That casting would have been bad 20 years ago. The details are even worse... windshield, dashboard, grill, and what is that thing covering the the down roof?

I've seen convertible parade boots, but that looks more like a sofa.

Be cautious of anything from that firm.

Pontiac

Hello Joe, you're 100% correct and the trunk lid is way off. Regards, Paul

I have a Mercury Turnpike Cruiser that........

......leaves a lot to be desired. Though the Pontiac looks better but, not by much. Too heavy in rear, I think. This is the merc.

I wouldn't pay 10 bucks for it. Not impressed. Sorry.

I love Pontiacs, so I would still like to have this one in hand to make any personal conclusions as to accuracy, etc. Regardless, I can't afford that one right now, but I'd probably still like and enjoy it in spite of any drawbacks that might be evident in person !

Mike, you'd do better looking for a Conquest version which is not only much better, but costs less as well. Buz sometimes has them, and
even had new ones on his website recently.

Investing good money in nice models is one thing. These models aren't cheap,
so spending a couple of hundred dollars on a model is an intensely-personal
decision. But throwing away that kind of money on poor models makes no
sense. This one can't compare at all to the Conquest Pontiac convertible.
There's no excuse for the mistakes on this car, especially the windshield frame
and the top boot. Just ridiculous for a car costing this much.

It looks like the front half and the rear belong to two different cars, and they got welded together

LOL, Rich, I certainly can't afford that ABC Pontiac so there's no danger of me buying it right now ! It may well have problems, but I have always said one probably should not be too dogmatic or draw final conclusions until the replica is really seen in person.

Photos can give an inaccurate impression under some conditions and I think that when that happens they _usually_ (but not always) are more likely to accentuate any faults or give a more negative impression than actually may be warranted.

At least they made a nice Buick once (pic)

My only remaining ABC:

Maybe they went downhill after the death of Carlo Brianza. I know the ABC Saoutchik Cadillac was horrid next to the Chromes model.

ebay currently has a CON 54 Pontiac HT for less than issue price. Sometimes same goes for dealers.
