- Review
If you don’t know the Aston Martin DB5 by name for sure you know this car from the Bond movies ‘Goldfinger’, ‘Goldeneye’, and ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’. The car was produced between 1963 and 1965 and production numbers never exceeded 1,000 pieces.
Originally the car was produced as coupe and convertible. The prototype of the Shooting Brake was built in the factory of David Brown who owned Aston Martin at the time. His initials DB became part of the name of the majority of the Aston Martin range. Twelve pieces were built between 1965 and 1967 by coachbuilder Harold Radford which makes the total production number – including the prototype – 13 pieces. This car has become a desirable collectors item and is rarely spotted on the roads.
