    This is the 1941 Lockheed P-38 Lightning Fighter by Old Modern Handicrafts. The P-38 lighting is a twin-engine fighter designed by Lockheed for the US army air corp armed with 50 caliber machine guns and a cannon all within the nose of aircraft allowing for ease of aiming and to remove the need for gun convergence. Its large size allowed it to escort bombers deeper into Germany and for it to perform long-range recon missions. This model features nose mounted guns, twin rotating props, and tricycle rotating landing gears. The plane sizes make it perfect for decorating a shelf, placed in a small display case next to a larger centerpiece, or by a bedside for those who enjoy the history held in the lighting through its years of service.
