Surtees, a former motorcycle world champion and 1964 F1 World Champion, was renowned for his technical acumen and smooth driving style. The Monaco GP that year was particularly significant as it was the season opener and featured the debut of several new cars under the updated regulations. Despite Ferrari’s promising power unit, Surtees retired due to mechanical issues, highlighting the reliability challenges teams faced during this transitional period. The race is also remembered for having only four classified finishers, making it one of the most attritional Monaco Grands Prix in history. This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. Resin models are exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Each model is created using a variety of production processes, to achieve this precision. They are produced using a composite material referred to in the industry as “resin”. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used for the most authentic replication.
