This is the Lotus 16 Championship 1959 Dutch GP Driver Graham Hill in 1:18 scale by Tecnomodel. At the 1959 Dutch Grand Prix held at Zandvoort, a young Graham Hill drove the Lotus 16, marking one of his early outings in Formula One. Though the car, designed by Colin Chapman, was innovative with its lightweight design, it struggled against the increasingly dominant rear-engined competitors. Hill, who would later become a two-time World Champion and the only driver to win motorsport’s Triple Crown, was still gaining experience at this stage. Mechanical reliability was a major issue for Lotus at the time, and Hill’s race ended in retirement. This event was significant as it underscored the challenges Lotus faced before emerging as a dominant force in the 1960s, and it was part of the learning curve that helped shape Hill’s legendary career. This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. Resin models are exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Each model is created using a variety of production processes, to achieve this precision. They are produced using a composite material referred to in the industry as “resin”. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used for the most authentic replication
