This is the Porsche 908/03 Spider #36 1970 Targa Florio Richard Attwood/Bjorn Waldegaard in 1:18 scale by WERK83.At the 1970 Targa Florio, held on May 3rd in Sicily, the #36 Porsche 908/03 Spider, fielded by John Wyer Automotive Engineering and driven by Richard Attwood (UK) and Björn Waldegård (Sweden), secured a commendable fifth-place finish. This race marked the competitive debut of the Porsche 908/03, a lightweight and agile prototype specifically designed for the demanding, twisty roads of the Targa Florio. To distinguish between the team’s similarly liveried cars, Porsche employed playing card symbols; the #36 car bore the spade symbol. The Targa Florio’s unique format featured a time trial setup on public roads, challenging drivers with its narrow, winding course and limited safety measures. Despite the treacherous conditions and intense competition, Attwood and Waldegård’s performance highlighted their skill and the 908/03’s capabilities, contributing to Porsche’s dominant presence in the race. This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. These diecast models are exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Interior detail is hand assembled and easily visible. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used for a most authentic replication.
