This is the Ferrari 195 S Touring Berlinetta1950 24H Le Mans Driver Serafini / Sommer in 1:18 scale by Tecnomodel. At the 1950 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ferrari entered the 195 S Touring Berlinetta, driven by Raymond Sommer and Dorino Serafini. This race marked Ferrari’s debut at Le Mans. The car, featuring a 2.3-liter V12 engine producing 170 horsepower, was notable for its metallic blue livery—unusual for a Ferrari—and its lightweight aluminum body crafted by Carrozzeria Touring. Sommer, a seasoned endurance racer, set the fastest lap during practice at 161.90 km/h. During the race, the duo led in the early hours, but persistent electrical issues plagued their performance, ultimately forcing them to retire after 82 laps and approximately 12 hours, notably without functioning headlights at the time of withdrawal. Despite the retirement, this entry highlighted Ferrari’s commitment to endurance racing and laid the groundwork for future successes at Le Mans. This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. Resin models are exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Each model is created using a variety of production processes, to achieve this precision. They are produced using a composite material referred to in the industry as “resin”. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used for the most authentic replication.
