Competing in the C1 class, they secured a third-place finish, completing 221 laps, just three laps behind the winning Jaguar XJR-8 driven by Jan Lammers and John Watson . The Porsche 962C GTi was equipped with a 2.8L turbocharged flat-six engine, a variant of the renowned Type-935, and was known for its aerodynamic efficiency and reliability. This race was notable for the dominance of the Silk Cut Jaguar team, which secured both first and second places, highlighting the intense competition between Jaguar and Porsche during the 1987 World Sports-Prototype Championship season.This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body.
