The rally, known for its challenging mix of gravel and asphalt stages across the UK, tested the durability and performance of both drivers and vehicles. Thérier and Vial showed promising pace in the early stages, but their rally ended prematurely due to an accident, highlighting the event’s demanding nature. The 1977 RAC Rally was significant for Toyota, as fellow team members Hannu Mikkola and Arne Hertz secured a second-place finish in a similar Celica, marking a strong performance for the manufacturer in the World Rally Championship.This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body.
