Driven by the legendary Jacky Ickx for Team Martini Racing Porsche System, the car competed in the 1978 DRM (Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft) race at Norisring, a street circuit in Nuremberg, Germany, known for its fast straights and tight hairpins. What made this race unique was its high-speed urban setting, which tested both driver precision and machine durability under intense braking and acceleration. The Moby Dick’s elongated, aerodynamic bodywork and massive rear wing were designed for top-speed endurance racing, making it a rare sight on shorter sprint tracks like Norisring.
