    This is the 1988 Mitsubishi Starion 2.0 Turbo EX Red in 1:18 scale by LS Collectibles.The 1988 Mitsubishi Starion 2.0 Turbo EX was a bold and technologically advanced sports coupe that set itself apart with turbocharged performance and widebody styling. Unlike many of its competitors, the Starion featured a 2.0L turbocharged inline-four engine, producing 178 horsepower, paired with rear-wheel drive for an engaging driving experience. Its boxy, aggressive widebody design, with flared fenders and pop-up headlights, gave it a distinct presence on the road. Mitsubishi also equipped it with advanced tech for the time, including an intercooler, multi-port fuel injection, and an independent rear suspension, providing impressive handling and stability. As one of the early turbocharged Japanese performance cars, the Starion 2.0 Turbo EX remains a cult classic, paving the way for Mitsubishi’s later performance icons like the Lancer Evolution.This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. Resin models are exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Each model is created using a variety of production processes, to achieve this precision. They are produced using a composite material referred to in the industry as “resin”. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used for the most authentic replication.
