This is the Porsche 911 Carrera RS Coupe (night version) #10 1973 Rally East African Safari in 1:43 scale by Trofeu. The Porsche 911 Carrera RS Coupe #10, driven by Björn Waldegård and Hans Thorszelius, took on the grueling 1973 East African Safari Rally, one of the toughest endurance rallies in the world. Waldegård, a future World Rally Champion, was known for his fearless driving and ability to adapt to extreme conditions. The East African Safari Rally was unique due to its punishing terrain, featuring deep mud, river crossings, and rough gravel roads that tested both man and machine. Unlike many other rallies, this event prioritized durability over outright speed, with long stages spanning hundreds of kilometers. The Carrera RS, despite being a rear-wheel-drive car in an era increasingly favoring rugged all-wheel-drive setups, showcased Porsche’s engineering resilience by tackling some of the harshest rally conditions ever seen.Excellent quality and finish. Beautifully crafted and exquisitely detailed. Models are hand painted, decorated and assembled. Beautiful detail and accuracy of shape and scale. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are also used. Each model comes with its own acrylic display case.
