This Finnish rally, known today as Rally Finland, was famous for its high-speed gravel roads and massive jumps, making it one of the most exciting and demanding events on the WRC calendar. The Saab 96 V4, with its front-wheel-drive layout, was well-suited for the loose gravel surfaces, offering exceptional handling in the fast-flowing forest stages. The 1000 Lakes Rally was unique for its relentless pace and the dominance of Scandinavian drivers, who mastered the art of “left-foot braking” to maintain speed through corners. Competing in this rally required immense skill and bravery, making it a true test of both car and driver.Excellent quality and finish. Beautifully crafted and exquisitely detailed.
