This is the Arrows F1 Ford A2 #30 1979 Germany GP Jochen Mass w/ Display Case in 1:18 scale by GP Replicas. The Arrows A2, piloted by Jochen Mass at the 1979 German Grand Prix, represented a bold yet ultimately flawed attempt at aerodynamic innovation. Designed by Tony Southgate, the car was shaped for extreme ground effect, with a unique wide and flat design resembling a “wing on wheels.” Despite its potential, the A2 was plagued by handling and balance issues, making it uncompetitive. Jochen Mass, a seasoned driver, did his best to extract performance from the car but faced significant challenges throughout the season. The 1979 season was notable for fierce competition between Ferrari, Williams, and Ligier, with the debut of the turbocharged Renault engine hinting at the future direction of Formula 1.This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. Resin models are exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Each model is created using a variety of production processes, to achieve this precision. They are produced using a composite material referred to in the industry as “resin”. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used for the most authentic replication.
