Powered by a 3.0L V12 engine, the 312P was Ferrari’s contender in the prototype category, facing fierce opposition from the formidable Porsche 917 and Ford GT40. Amon and Schetty brought experience and skill to the challenge, but reliability issues plagued Ferrari’s efforts that year. The 1969 race was particularly iconic for its dramatic finish, where the Ford GT40 narrowly defeated Porsche by mere seconds, emphasizing the high stakes and fierce competition of that era in endurance racing.This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body.
