That year, in the T89 powered by a turbocharged Chevrolet engine, Andretti demonstrated his trademark adaptability, delivering strong performances on road courses, street circuits, and ovals alike. A highlight came when he battled through a season marked by intense competition from both veterans and rising stars, with his experience allowing him to extract every ounce of speed from the Lola chassis.
