Depailler Limited Edition in 1:18 scale.Patrick Depailler—renowned for his daring driving style and engineering insight—pushed the Alfa Romeo 179 through the narrow and unforgiving streets of Monaco in 1980. Despite still recovering from a severe paragliding accident, Depailler demonstrated immense resilience, keeping the car in contention amidst high attrition and the demands of the tight circuit. What’s particularly unique about this Grand Prix is the contrast between Monaco’s precision requirements and the 179’s raw, ground-effect–era power—making Depailler’s effort a testament to both his determination and driving finesse, even though mechanical gremlins ultimately ended his race.This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. Resin models are exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Each model is created using a variety of production processes, to achieve this precision. They are produced using a composite material referred to in the industry as “resin”. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used for the most authentic replication.
