This is the1953 MG TF Cabriolet Open Top Green in 1:18 scale by Cult. The MG TF Cabriolet (1953) represented the final evolution of MG’s classic pre-war-style sports cars, built by MG. What set the TF apart from its competition was its charmingly traditional design—featuring separate flowing fenders, a tall upright grille, and a wood-accented cockpit—at a time when many rivals were moving toward more modern, integrated body styles. Despite its vintage appearance, it introduced subtle improvements like a slightly more streamlined body, better engine cooling, and a refined XPAG/XPEG engine for improved performance. Its lightweight construction and engaging, back-to-basics driving experience made it especially appealing to enthusiasts, offering a pure, open-air motoring feel that contrasted sharply with the heavier, more comfort-focused cars of the early 1950s.This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. Resin models areexceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Each model is created using a variety of productionprocesses, to achieve this precision. They are produced using a composite material referred to in theindustry as “resin”. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often usedfor the most authentic replication.
