This is the Nissan R390 GT1 #33 1998 Le Mans in 1:18 scale by GT Spirit. The Nissan R390 GT1 #33 competed at the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans with drivers Masami Kageyama, Aguri Suzuki, and Kazuyoshi Hoshino representing Nissan’s factory effort.  The R390 GT1 was a purpose-built GT1-class prototype featuring a mid-mounted 3.5 L twin-turbo V8 and advanced aerodynamics, developed specifically to challenge Porsche and Mercedes in the GT1 category. What made the 1998 Le Mans unique was the intense manufacturer rivalry in the GT1 class, with Nissan returning after a decade-long absence from endurance racing, aiming to prove Japanese engineering against European dominance. The #33 car ran strongly for much of the race but ultimately retired due to mechanical issues, highlighting both the car’s cutting-edge technology and the extreme demands of Le Mans on new prototypes. This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. These diecast models are exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Interior detail is hand assembled and easily visible. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used for a most authentic replication.
