Powered by a compact 2.0-liter engine and built with a focus on minimum weight and sharp chassis dynamics, it offered impressive agility against rivals relying on much larger powerplants. What set the 2000 Competizione apart was its combination of innovative construction, striking Italian styling, and underdog racing spirit — a rare example of De Tomaso’s early ambition to fuse motorsport performance with distinctive design.Excellent quality and finish. Beautifully crafted and exquisitely detailed. Models are hand painted, decorated and assembled. Beautiful detail and accuracy of shape and scale. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are also used. Each model comes with its own acrylic display case.
