- This is the 1942 Cadillac Sixty Special Grey in 1:43 scale by Stamp Models. The 1942 Cadillac Sixty Special stands out as a remarkable example of pre-war American luxury and innovation. Introduced with a 133-inch wheelbase—seven inches longer and one inch lower than its predecessor—it was the longest non-limousine Cadillac at the time. This extended wheelbase provided enhanced passenger comfort and a more graceful silhouette. The Sixty Special featured a sleek, streamlined design with pontoon fenders and a bold eggcrate grille, reflecting the era’s shift towards aerodynamic aesthetics. Under the hood, it was powered by a 346-cubic inch V8 engine, delivering 150 horsepower, which was impressive for its class. With only 1,684 units produced, the 1942 model year was abbreviated due to the onset of World War II, making this vehicle exceptionally rare. Its combination of luxury, performance, and limited production solidifies its status as a standout in automotive history.Excellent quality and finish. Beautifully crafted and exquisitely detailed. Models are hand painted, decorated and assembled. Beautiful detail and accuracy of shape and scale. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are also used. Each model comes with its own acrylic display case.
