This is the Porsche 917 Long Tail #3 1970 Le Mans Larrousse/Kauhsen in 1:12 scale by CMR.At the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans, the No.3 Porsche 917 LH “Long Tail” was driven by Gérard Larrousse and Willi Kauhsen, two highly respected endurance specialists known for their speed and mechanical sympathy in long-distance racing. The 917 LH—Langheck in German—was specifically engineered for Le Mans with dramatically extended bodywork designed to reduce drag and maximize top speed on the Mulsanne Straight. Powered by a ferocious flat-12 engine producing over 580 horsepower, the car was capable of nearly 240 mph, making it one of the fastest race cars of its era. What truly set the 917 Long Tail apart was its extreme aerodynamic efficiency and lightweight construction, giving it unmatched straight-line performance while cementing the Porsche 917 as one of the most legendary endurance racers in motorsport history. This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. These diecast models are exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Interior detail is hand assembled and easily visible. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used for a most authentic replication.
