This race was so significant for Porsche that they later adopted the “Carrera” name for their highest-performing engines and models.For races like the Panamericana, these cars were stripped of excess weight and fitted with leather straps on the front trunk, stone guards over the headlights, and reinforced suspension to handle the brutal Mexican roads.This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body.
