Known for his smooth and intelligent driving style, Capelli maximized the car’s potential in mixed and changing conditions, making the most of wet-weather (rain) tire strategy as grip levels fluctuated around Hockenheim. The Adrian Newey-designed March 881 stood out with its exceptionally clean aerodynamic efficiency, allowing it to achieve remarkable straight-line speed despite running a customer Judd V8 engine. In the rain-affected race, this balance of low drag and stable handling gave Capelli a unique edge over more powerful rivals, highlighting the car’s ability to punch above its weight against the dominant turbo-era competition.This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. Resin models are exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Each model is created using a variety of production processes, to achieve this precision.
