Porsche 996 GT3 RS No.72 11th Le Mans 24H 2001 K. Nishizawa – A.Yogo – H. Fukuyama in 1:43 scale.  The Porsche 996 GT3 RS No. 72 finished an impressive 11th overall at the 2001 24 Hours of Le Mans, driven by Japanese racers Katsunori Nishizawa, Akira Yogo, and Hiroyuki Fukuyama. The trio represented Porsche’s strong customer racing presence in Japan and brought valuable endurance experience to the demanding Le Mans event. Based on the 996-generation 911 GT3 RS, this car marked an important evolution of Porsche’s GT racing philosophy, featuring a lightweight body, improved aerodynamics, and the legendary 3.6-liter naturally aspirated Mezger flat-six engine derived from Porsche’s racing prototypes. Unlike turbocharged GT competitors, the GT3 RS relied on high-revving power, precise handling, and exceptional reliability, making it a standout endurance racer. Its combination of production-based engineering, motorsport technology, and Porsche’s rear-engine balance helped establish the GT3 RS name as one of the most successful GT racing platforms in history.Spark models are hand painted, decorated and assembled.
